DEX 3 RE has been designed so that it’s easier to navigate than other DJ software applications. The included library filters allow you to view only the file type you want to work with, and the fast search feature displays results as you type. Integrated directly into DEX 3 RE, Pulselocker gives you access to an up-to-date catalog of 44 + million tracks in all genres from major and independent labels from within the DEX 3 RE browser. Use the website’s discovery tools to find new music, then take your tracks offline and play sets without an internet connection. ($9.99 for online streaming only, $19.99 for streaming and unlimited offline tracks)
All-new in the latest iteration of DEX 3 RE is ‘Tablet Mode’. Designed or use with Intel 2in1 based laptops, Tablet Mode provides a touchy-feeling interface that allows you to grab and scratch large rotating platters, manipulate effects with an X/Y pad, view the browser full-screen and mix music with only your talented digits. Click the ‘touch’ toggle button at the top of DEX 3 RE to instantly access the touch-screen friendly ‘Tablet Mode’.
DJ Controllers provide hands-on tactile control over DEX 3 RE, allowing for more creativity while mixing. Over 70 DJ controllers from popular DJ equipment manufacturers are natively supported, which means zero-configuration for you so you can get into the mix right away. When you press a button, twist a knob or scratch a platter on your DJ controller PCDJ will react immediately, without latency.
DJ controllers are MIDI controllers or USB-to-analog devices used for controlling DJ software, and can typically be installed on a MAC or Windows PC, laptop, or in some cases a tablet device. Many DJ Controllers come equipped with an I/O Audio Card interface built in, so no need for any additional hardware – Just install the drivers for your DJ controller, plug it in and select your audio output configuration in our DJ software and you’re ready to rock the event!
