Cale tune Clapton recorded and had a hit with in the '70s, this version of "After Midnight" was recorded for a Michelob commercial and is only available through iSong and the four-CD box set Crossroads. Notable for its innovative solo, the track also shows Clapton's ability to reinvent his guitar playing; compare the original version and this one and you'll hear the maturation of Clapton as an artist.

The title cut contains one of the most legendary rock solos of all time. Words and music written by the equally legendary blues guitarist Robert Johnson ("Cross Road Blues"), the song shows off Clapton's innovations in electric blues-rock playing as he reinvents this blues standard in a band context.
